Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction and supervision of the Adventure Zone Captain and designated YMCA leadership staff, the Junior Adventure Zone Crew Member assists with program activities and helps create a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment for children and families in the Adventure Zone. This position supports YMCA staff in delivering quality member experiences through positive interactions, relationship building, and attentive support of program activities. The Junior Adventure Zone Crew Member demonstrates the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all interactions. Because this position is designed for youth employees ages 15 and older, all duties are performed under the direct supervision of an adult YMCA staff member.OUR PATH

Assist YMCA staff with age-appropriate activities, games, and participant engagement Help maintain a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants and families Support staff in maintaining appropriate participant supervision and program safety standards Maintain positive and respectful interactions with children, parents, members, and staff Assist with organization, setup, and cleanup of program areas and materials Follow YMCA policies, procedures, and staff directions at all times Attend required trainings and staff meetings as assigned Immediately communicate concerns, incidents, or safety issues to supervising staff Support the YMCA mission and demonstrate YMCA values in daily interactionsLEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES
