Cottonwood's motto is People Serving People and that is what we strive to do both for the individuals we support and our employees. Cottonwood is seeking a Day Program Lead DSP to support our Day Program Manager and current staff at our Day Program located in Englewood, CO.
SHIFT:
Monday -
Thursday:
8am - 5pm 36 to 40-hour work week with flexibility based on individual and program needs.
BONUS:
$250 at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months for new hire if in good standing (total of $1,000)!
JOB DUTIES
Assist in assuring that community and in-house activities are running in a timely and appropriate manner. Supervise and assist individuals in completion of daily (M-TH) written schedule of activities and routines such as personal care, meal assistance, transfers, lifting, etc., ensuring full participation of programming, as per individual needs and according to their Service Plan. Serve as a leader and role model for staff in handling behavioral needs and assist Day Program Manager as needed with staff training. Ensure agency vehicle in maintained and in good repair, vehicle book is kept up to date, and completion of monthly inspections, turned into Manager. Provide transportation to individuals as needed and assist in scheduling Access-a-Ride as needed. Ensure the Day Program area is maintained in a clean and healthy manner. Assist staff assigned to the monthly calendar to prepare monthly list of materials needed for activities and purchase approved materials. Complete programmatic monitoring on an ongoing basis, completing the proper forms and distributing errors found to appropriate staff. Maintain petty cash funds, making note of all transactions and ensuring accurate balance as verified by Day Program Manager. Implement and electronically document individual goals and protocol information.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma, GED, or training and experience in related field. Previous experience with community participation or community integrated employment. Strong leadership skills and willingness to mentor new employees with the completion of documentation, training, and additional duties as assigned. Good organizational skills, excellent writing and planning skills, and the ability to work independently given general job expectations. Valid Colorado driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire. Mature & dependable individual; minimum age of 25. Proof of auto insurance. Ability to pass background checks and reference checks. Clean driving record. No suspensions & less than three tickets in three years.
