BAM! Business Art Mentorship is a youth-centered program of Trail Lamp Youth Services in Grand Junction, Colorado. We create safe, affirming spaces where underserved and LGBTQ2S+ youth build confidence, leadership, connection, and future opportunities through art, entrepreneurship, and community. Our work is grounded in equity, trauma-informed practice, and the belief that every young person deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued. Position Summary The Program Coordinator helps keep BAM!'s youth programs organized and running smoothly. This role combines behind-the-scenes coordination with in-person support during programs and events. The Program Coordinator reports to the Program Manager and works closely with the Executive Director. This role is a strong fit for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working with youth, and able to manage details while staying focused on the mission. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, follows through, works well independently, and shows up as a steady, affirming presence for youth and team members. Seasonal Role Overview January through

The role is more systems-focused and administrative, including onboarding support, training coordination, scheduling, tracking documents and participation, and keeping internal systems organized. April throughDecember:
The role becomes more in-person and program-facing. The Program Coordinator is expected to be a visible, reliable presence across BAM! programs and events, including Art Club, BAM! Entrepreneurs, workshops, outreach events, field trips, festivals, and youth productions. Full participation during assigned programs and events is expected. Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination and Systems Maintain organized onboarding and training systems for staff, mentors, volunteers, contractors, and youth employees Track documents, attendance, rosters, schedules, and participation using Google Sheets and related tools Maintain organized records in Google Drive, Monday.com, JotForm, and related systems Draft and send reminders, follow-ups, and internal communications Maintain organized storage/inventory of program supplies Training and Onboarding Support Coordinate training schedules, reminders, materials, and follow-up communication Prepare support materials such as checklists, guides, handouts, and slide decks Support orientations and trainings through logistics, note-taking, and follow-through In-Person Program and Event Support Be present for the full duration of assigned programs and events Help with announcements, mentor coordination, attendance, youth transportation logistics, setup, materials, and schedule flow Serve as a reliable point of support for youth, mentors, and volunteers during programming Communicate concerns or logistical issues to leadership in a timely way Youth Support and Team Communication Help maintain a safe, affirming, trauma-informed environment for youth Support youth with professionalism, warmth, and clear boundaries Help connect youth to support and resources as needed, following BAM! protocols Maintain clear communication with the Program Manager and Executive Director Coordinate with mentors, volunteers, and youth staff around schedules and expectations Help maintain accurate participation records and basic program data Ideal Candidate Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable Comfortable balancing systems work with in-person youth programming Proactive in communication and follow-through Calm, grounded, and professional during live programs and events Affirming and respectful with youth Committed to equity, inclusion, trauma-informed practice, and BAM!'s mission QualificationsRequired At least 2 years of relevant experience in youth-serving, community-based, coordination, or program support work (nonprofit preferred) Experience working directly with youth ages 12-21 Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organization and attention to detail Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks Experience using Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets and Google Drive Experience coordinating logistics for programs, trainings, events, or community-based work Availability for regular Saturday programming and evenings/events Commitment to equity, inclusion, LGBTQ2S+ affirmation, and trauma-informed practice Preferred Experience working with underserved populations, including LGBTQ2S+, BIPOC, or youth facing systemic barriers Experience supporting live programs, workshops, or events Experience with Monday.com, JotForm, or similar systems Lived and/or professional experience connected to the communities BAM! serves Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time, hourly, nonexempt W-2 employee position . Pay is $18.27-$23.08/hour , depending on experience and qualifications. The annual equivalent listed above is for illustration purposes only and reflects what this hourly rate would equal if working 2,080 hours in a full year . Compensation is based on actual hours worked . Trail Lamp Youth Services covers required employer-paid payroll costs and insurance in accordance with applicable law, including employer payroll taxes, workers' compensation, and unemployment insurance.Benefits include:
