Job Description
Child Care Center Director We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and organized Center Director to lead the daily operations of our early childhood education center. The Director is responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while overseeing staff, maintaining licensing compliance, building strong family relationships, and supporting the center's educational mission. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the child care center. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate teachers and support staff. Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and health and safety standards. Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff, and the community. Oversee enrollment, scheduling, and classroom ratios. Manage budgets, purchasing, and center resources. Support curriculum implementation and promote high-quality early childhood education. Conduct staff meetings, professional development, and performance evaluations. Address parent questions and concerns professionally and promptly. Ensure accurate recordkeeping and documentation. Qualifications Director qualifications that meet state licensing requirements. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in early childhood education, including supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of child care licensing regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Successful completion of required background checks. Preferred Skills Strong leadership and team-building abilities Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Budget management experience Proficiency with child care management software Ability to build positive relationships with families and staff Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
