Orientation Facilitator Groton, CT and North Kingstown, RI Contract (May- August)
Pay:
$32/hr

Medical, Dental, Vision The Compass Program is a paid teacher externship opportunity that involves exposure and awareness into the submarine shipbuilding industry. The program will consist of up to 24 hours paid for 10 weeks in length. Teachers will be utilized in facilitating our New Employee Orientation (NEO) Program, in addition to embarking on a series of enrichment opportunities with Client. These include tours of the shipyard and manufacturing facilities, workshops on outreach programs, guest speaker talks, and leadership development opportunities. The Compass Program aims to assist teachers and their schools in becoming more knowledgeable about Client and the submarine industry. NEO Facilitators are ambassadors of Client's purpose of delivering the advantage that protects our sailors, our families, and our freedom. At Client, NEO facilitators have a tremendous opportunity to play a critical role in welcoming new employees to Client to start their successful careers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Learn and deliver shipyard trainings specifically geared toward new employees at Client, including NEO. Drive a positive employee onboarding experience through superior facilitation skills and knowledge of program content Gain exposure to career pathways in shipbuilding for their students in the academic year. Participate in scheduled enrichment opportunities such as shipyard tours, workshops on outreach programming with schools, and leadership development courses. Take part in leadership guest speaker opportunities. Create a culture of collaboration focused on one mindset, one mission, and one team accountability Network with fellow teachers from CT, RI, and MA. NEO Facilitators are needed to support both the Groton and Quonset Point locations.
