Job Description

Clinician (LMSW, LADC, LMFT, LPC, LCSW or LPCA Job Description We are seeking a dedicated clinician to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to infection control practices, make referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention, and collect urine specimens for drug screening. The clinician will orient new patients to treatment programs, identify potential customers, and provide them with information about agency programs. Additionally, the role requires completing required paperwork, maintaining customer confidentiality, providing ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants, and participating in team meetings, seminars, and trainings. The clinician will also engage with community providers and present program information to various agencies. Responsibilities + Ensure adherence to infection control practices. + Make referrals to outside programs for medical and/or psychological intervention. + Collect urine specimens for drug screening. + Orient new patients to treatment programs. + Identify potential customers and provide them with information about agency programs. + Complete required paperwork and maintain customer confidentiality. + Provide ongoing liaison, referral, and advocacy for participants with social service providers. + Participate in team meetings, seminars, and trainings. + Engage with community providers related to program content. + Provide presentations about programs to various agencies monthly. Essential Skills + Master's degree in social work or related field with a license. + Three years of related clinical experience with homelessness, mental health, or substance use. + Proficient in databases, MS Office, written reports, and maintenance of case notes. + Strong organizational, motivational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bilingual in Spanish is nice to have. + Specialized training in crisis intervention, substance use, mental illness, domestic violence, or related fields is preferred. + Experience working with participants from diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds. + Knowledge of Human Services, Court systems, substance use, and target populations. + Thorough knowledge of co-occurring disorders and social services in Hartford. + Ability to work in collaboration with other service providers. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role involves working in a professional environment with a focus on fostering independence and skill-building for individuals and families. Our organization emphasizes accountability and transparency, with systems in place to track program outcomes and impact. Regular audits and staff training are conducted to enhance program quality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
