Job Description

Program Coordinator - Youth Development (Achievers) Description Under the supervision of the Youth Development Director, The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Youth Development branch program , Y Achievers. The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and implementing program curriculum. This position will oversee all part-time staff, scheduling, training, and provide program instruction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
1. Youth Development Coordinator serves as a professional role model for youth enrolled in the Program. 2. Oversee program development, scheduling, registration and evaluation. 3. Ensures professional, thorough and timely communication to registrants prior to and during programming. Communicates necessary program information to branch and association staff. 4. Cultivate relationships with parents and members to develop quality programs that are consistent with the mission and values. 5. Identify collaborative efforts to utilize facilities and services with local schools and organizations. 6. Identify program opportunities and sources of funding for programs. 7. Consistently provide friendly, courteous assistance exceeding customer expectations every day, which includes building and maintaining healthy professional relationships with customers, staff, host agencies and the local community. 8. Support and contribute to a safe, clean environment for staff and customers. 9. Attend all branch and Metropolitan meetings as assigned. 10. Maintain knowledge of association policies and procedures, risk management and safety practices and applicable laws. 11. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirement 1. Bachelor's degree preferred in related field of study. 2. Minimum of 2 years experience in programming. 3. Staff supervision experience preferred. 4. Experience in developing and implementing youth programs preferred. 5. Physical ability to instruct class when assigned instructor is unavailable. 6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 7. Must possess or attain CPR/AED certification within 60 days. Must be available to work minimum of two Saturday's a month.
