08/21/2026 Ridgefield Public Schools has an opening for a.5 EL Coordinator commencing with the 2026-2027 school year. CT certification required. This position is a 200 day work year.

Transcripts Job Duties:
Maintains inventory (e.g. supplies, learning materials, equipment, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring EL programming is providing required services to students. Monitors student progress (e.g. data analysis, testing scores, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring program effectiveness while adhering to state and federal regulations. Oversees EL program testing for the purpose of ensuring proper standards and regulations are met ensuring proper and required services are provided to EL students. Provides professional development for the purpose of ensuring proper implementation and adherence to regulations for EL programming and pedagogy. Screens prospective EL students for the purpose of ensuring students receive necessary and required support. Translates written materials and/or forms and conversations in meetings for the purpose of ensuring that non-English speaking families have a clear understanding of information or services. Verifies translations made by others for the purpose of ensuring accuracy, context, readability, grammar and style. Design EL tutor caseloads and schedules. Oversee implementation of EL services via use of goal design template. Provide and organize professional development for EL tutors. Runs monthly EL dept meetings. Oversees design and use of EL Lead Facilitators (stipend roles for three teachers). Organize parent information sessions and training. Meet monthly with the Assistant Superintendent of Special Services to review program status. Submit order requests for instructional materials. Collaborate with special services administration for the design of the TItle III grant. Communicate with building administrators regularly about implementation of EL instruction in their schools.
