You will also develop your leadership abilities and expand your influence. While participating in our program, you will apprentice at a local nonprofit, participate in weekly workshops to expand your personal and professional skills and knowledge, build community, and grow as a values-based leader. Our leadership development program will challenge and support you in becoming a leader who innovates, connects across social boundaries, facilitates collaborative action, recognizes and mobilizes community assets, commits to continuous learning, and is accountable to those you work with and serve. Additionally, you'll receive personalized coaching to pursue your educational and career goals, build relationships with a network of local leaders, and become a part of a national movement of leaders working for change. Benefits Our AmeriCorps Members receive a $22,000 living allowance, health insurance, an employee assistance program, forbearance of qualified student loans, and upon successful completion of the program, a $7,395 education award. There is also income-based financial assistance with childcare. Commitment Participate in a rigorous full-time, 10-month program• Program is from Fall 2026 - Summer 2027 Apprentice at a nonprofit organization Monday-Thursday Attend leadership training on Fridays Collaborate with a team of peers to plan and implement a community-building service project Engage in monthly coaching •A few evenings, weekends, and overnight retreats will be required, but you will receive advanced notice Requirements U.S. citizen or permanent resident At least 17 years of age High school diploma or GED Skills & Abilities Knowledgeable (of the community you serve in; of the goals of the organization in which you'll serve) Ambitious (goes above and beyond; sees projects to completion; takes an idea and moves it to fruition; works independently with minimal direction; communicates with others effectively across hierarchical structures; demonstrates leadership) Reflective (gives and receives feedback; continuously learns and converts feedback into action; willing to be coached to learn and trained and managed to be more effective; utilizes own skills and knowledge to make better decisions) Accountable (to time, communications, and common sense; faces challenges head-on; dependable and delivers on promises) Collaborative (able to work with others to accomplish goals; calls upon diverse networks) Agile (sees the assets in a variety of communities; adapts to changing environments; utilizes critical thought, problem solving, goal setting, and assessment; understands there are multiple ways to accomplish goals) If this job posting resonates with you, please visit our website to apply!
