Job Description
Description:
The F-35 Training team is a crucial part of the overall F-35 team, ensuring that customers are appropriately trained to effectively utilize delivered F-35 air system capability. This F-35 Training Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Program Manager role is responsible for ensuring successful contract performance throughout the entire contracting lifecycle.Responsibilities include:
- Manage program cost, schedule and technical performance outcomes. This includes ensuring compliant and efficient program performance management, maximizing reuse and minimizing duplication in business processes across Lockheed Martin.
- Assist in the development of acquisition plans, ensure timely proposals and effective negotiations, and successfully complete contract start up upon award.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, domain excellence teammates, and Lockheed Martin teammates across geographically dispersed locations to develop executable plans and deliver results.
- Effectively communicate horizontally and vertically, providing leadership and customers with timely and accurate performance insights.
- US Citizenship Required Secret / Special Access Program security clearance required after hire
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience managing a cost, schedule and technical baseline
- Experience with contract deliverables and scope management
- Experience with Earned Value Management principles
- Expertise in relationship building and communication with customers
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition across the program lifecycle
- Experience with proposal development, negotiations and start up
- Prior CAM (control account management) experience
- Experience effectively managing risks and opportunities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and change control
- Experience in budget development and management
- Experience with program excellence strategies, including establishing plans and successfully executing initiatives
- Experience leading / integrating solutions for cross discipline and geographically disperse teams
- Knowledge of F-35 program

Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for thisPosition:
