Non-Exempt Position Summary Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and highly organized applicant to join our team as a Service Coordinator (SC) supporting the residents of Willow Way Village (WWV). The Service Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between residents, property management, and community service providers. The SC assists residents in accessing healthcare, behavioral health services, employment resources, education, financial assistance, transportation, and other supportive services that promote housing stability, independence, and improved quality of life. The Service Coordinator does not provide direct clinical treatment but facilitates referrals, advocacy, and care coordination. This position reports to BCI's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and works closely on a day-to-day basis with the Property Manager of Royal American Management to support the needs of WWV residents and maintain housing stability throughout the community. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with low-income individuals, families, older adults, persons experiencing homelessness, or individuals with disabilities. Experience in case management, care coordination, or community resource navigation preferred. Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) preferred (not required). Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care principles. Motivational interviewing and cultural competency. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with property management and community partners. Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record systems. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to travel throughout Willow Way Village and to community agencies as needed. Ability to lift to 20 pounds occasionally, and to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Office and residential housing environment, with occasional evening or weekend activities.
Duties / Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Resident Services Conduct initial and ongoing resident needs assessments and develop individualized service plans. Connect residents with community resources, including medical and behavioral health services, employment, education, financial counseling, food assistance, transportation, childcare, veteran services, disability services, and housing. Assist residents with applications for public benefits and community programs. Promote resident self-sufficiency and independence, and maintain regular contact through scheduled meetings and wellness checks. Housing Stability Identify barriers that may place residents at risk of losing housing and coordinate interventions to prevent eviction whenever possible. Work collaboratively with the Property Manager of Royal American regarding resident concerns while maintaining confidentiality. Assist residents in understanding lease obligations and community policies, and support conflict resolution when appropriate. Community Partnerships Develop and maintain relationships with local service agencies and coordinate on-site educational programs and workshops. Recruit volunteers and community partners to provide resident programming and participate in community coalitions addressing homelessness and affordable housing. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential resident files, and document resident contacts, referrals, outcomes, and follow-up activities. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by funding agencies, and track program outcomes and performance measures. Ensure compliance with HUD, state, local, and organizational regulations, and protect resident confidentiality in accordance with applicable laws. Resident Engagement Plan and coordinate resident activities that promote community involvement, and facilitate support groups, educational seminars, and wellness activities. Encourage resident leadership through advisory committees or resident councils.
