Position Summary The BATC Program Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the Braman Automotive Technician Centre (BATC), Lindsey Hopkins Technical College, students, instructors, Braman Motors leadership, educational partners, and industry stakeholders. This position is responsible for coordinating student recruitment, program administration, student support, workforce readiness initiatives, educational partnerships, and employment-related activities that support the overall success of the BATC Program. The Program Coordinator works under the direction of Braman Motors leadership and in support of the BATC Instructor to facilitate program operations, student engagement, recruitment initiatives, educational partnerships, dealership exposure opportunities, and employment readiness activities. Reporting Structure The BATC Program Coordinator reports to Braman Motors leadership and works closely with the BATC Instructor, Lindsey Hopkins Technical College representatives, educational partners, and Braman Motors leadership. The Coordinator serves in a program coordination, student support, recruitment, workforce development, and administrative capacity. Curriculum delivery, classroom instruction, academic evaluation, and educational oversight remain the responsibility of Lindsey Hopkins Technical College and the BATC Instructor. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Student Recruitment & Outreach Represent BATC and Braman Motors at career fairs, workforce development events, technical school recruiting activities, educational conferences, and industry functions. Develop and maintain relationships with Lindsey Hopkins Technical College, Broward College, Universal Technical Institute (UTI), local high schools, technical academies, and workforce development organizations. Attend advisory board meetings, educational partnership meetings, and industry sponsored events. Coordinate recruitment visits, candidate screening activities, interviews, and enrollment efforts. Promote BATC opportunities to prospective students and support technician recruitment initiatives for Braman Motors. Coordinate BATC Career Day, New Student Orientation, and other recruitment-related events. Track recruitment efforts, applicant pipelines, enrollment metrics, and workforce development initiatives. Student Administration, Support & Performance Monitoring Serve as a primary point of contact for BATC students and the BATC Instructor throughout the duration of the program. Monitor student attendance, participation, professionalism, and academic progress. Assist students with academic and program-related needs and communicate program requirements, expectations, policies, and performance standards. Maintain accurate student files, evaluations, certifications, attendance records, and required program documentation. Collect, review, and maintain student evaluations and performance records. Prepare reports regarding student progress, workforce readiness, and alignment with Braman Motors hiring standards. Coordinate student onboarding, orientation, graduation activities, and related program events. Identify students requiring additional support and coordinate improvement plans. Track graduate progress, employment outcomes, and post-graduation retention when applicable. Classroom, Training & Student Exposure Support Support the BATC Instructor with classroom, laboratory, and hands-on training activities. Prepare classroom materials, handouts, presentations, equipment, and training aids as directed by the Instructor. Assist with classroom logistics, attendance tracking, documentation, assessments administration, and program activities. Coordinate classroom scheduling, facility readiness, and equipment availability. Assist in scheduling and organizing hands-on activities, dealership visits, guest speakers, demonstrations, and other program-related experiences. Coordinate opportunities for students to observe dealership operations, service processes, technician career pathways, and professional workplace practices. Facilitate student exposure to current automotive technologies, diagnostic processes, dealership systems, repair procedures, Braman Motors policies, operational standards, customer service expectations, and safety requirements. Support dealership-based activities that reinforce classroom instruction and promote workforce readiness while remaining consistent with approved curriculum requirements. Remain knowledgeable of current automotive technologies, industry trends, and workforce development initiatives to support program effectiveness. Career Development & Employment Readiness Support the development of BATC students for potential employment opportunities within Braman Motors. Coordinate participation in UTI Meet & Greet events and other recruiting opportunities to identify prospective technician candidates for Braman Motors. Assist Braman Motors leadership in identifying students who may be qualified for current or future employment opportunities. Support students with resume preparation, interview preparation, and professional development activities. Maintain records related to employment readiness, hiring consideration, graduate placement, and employment outcomes. Support the transition of selected students from graduation to employment within Braman Motors. Program Administration Maintain BATC records, reports, and program documentation. Coordinate meetings with Lindsey Hopkins Technical College, BATC leadership, instructors, Braman Motors leadership, and educational partners. Prepare attendance reports, performance reports, graduation reports, evaluation reports, and program KPI tracking. Assist with budgeting, procurement requests, and administrative activities. Ensure compliance with program policies, educational requirements, and recordkeeping standards. Tools, Equipment & Facility Management Ensure training tools, equipment, materials, and classroom resources are available, organized, and operational. Maintain inventory records for training tools, equipment, supplies, and instructional materials. Coordinate maintenance, repair, calibration, or replacement of training equipment as required. Assist with procurement and inventory control of training materials and supplies. Promote accountability and proper use of training equipment and resources. Safety & Compliance Promote and enforce all safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and Braman Motors safety standards. Ensure proper PPE usage and safe operating practices. Report safety concerns and coordinate corrective actions. Maintain a safe, professional, and productive learning environment. Community & Industry Relations Coordinate BATC Career Day, Graduation, Orientation, and other program events. Participate in manufacturer-sponsored technician recruitment and workforce development initiatives. Support technician recruitment efforts for Braman Motors brands and affiliated manufacturer programs. Represent BATC and Braman Motors professionally within the educational, automotive, and business communities. Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, manufacturers, workforce development organizations, and community partners. Qualifications Required Minimum 3-5 years of automotive dealership experience or automotive technical education experience. Strong understanding of automotive service operations, dealership processes, and technician career pathways. Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Ability to work effectively with students, instructors, managers, and industry professionals. Preferred Experience in automotive education, workforce development, recruiting, apprenticeship programs, student services, or employee development initiatives. ASE Certifications or equivalent automotive credentials. Leadership experience as a Shop Foreman, Team Leader, Service Manager, Shop Manager, Trainer, or similar role. Experience with student evaluations, performance management, career development, and educational outreach activities. Additional Position Requirement This position is not responsible for curriculum development, classroom instruction, educational content delivery, academic grading, or serving as Instructor of Record. Educational content, curriculum delivery, student instruction, academic evaluation, and educational oversight remain the responsibility of Lindsey Hopkins Technical College and the BATC Instructor.
