Children's Learning Facilitator PreK-8 (Part-Time, Weekday Mornings) | Miami Area GABIE Bus Florida Miami, FL Job Details Part-time | Contract $100 a day 1 day ago Qualifications Spanish Childcare English Performing background checks Full Job Description Overview GABIE Bus delivers interactive STEM field trip experiences directly to schools across Miami-Dade County. Instead of students traveling to a museum, we bring hands-on STEM learning to them through structured, engaging programs designed for children ages 3-13. We're seeking individuals who enjoy working with children and helping guide small groups through educational activities. This role is ideal for education students, substitute teachers, or others interested in child-focused learning experiences. The position offers regular weekday morning work for those seeking consistency, while still allowing flexibility to accept or decline individual bookings based on availability. Programs typically run 1-3 days per week , with shifts usually between 8:00am - 1:00pm . Training is provided, and all lesson materials and presentation guides are supplied. Duties Deliver short, scripted STEM presentations to groups of children in schools and daycares Engage students with hands-on activities, guided discussion, and interactive stations Help manage student flow and maintain a fun, safe, and organized experience Assist with light setup and breakdown of program materials Occasionally wear a bee mascot costume for brief appearances (5 minutes at a time) Represent GABIE Bus professionally with school staff, teachers, and administrators Transport yourself reliably and on-time to schools throughout Miami-Dade County Requirements Comfortable speaking clearly and confidently in front of groups of children Ability to memorize and deliver short presentations (3-15 minutes) Energetic, personable, and reliable — enthusiasm matters Clean background check and eligibility to work with children in school settings Reliable transportation to travel to schools throughout Miami-Dade County Ability to carry small boxes or light materials as needed Availability on weekday mornings, typically between 8:00am - 1:00pm , 1-3 days per week Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus but not required
