Job Summary Florida International University (FIU) Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) is a national leader in integrating community-based medical education and clinical care. We are dedicated to training socially accountable physicians, scientists, and health professionals committed to serving the community. HWCOM is an academic and clinical affiliate of Baptist Health, South Florida's (BHSF) largest not-for-profit health system. BHSF and HWCOM aim to develop a catalog of graduate medical education (GME) programs based out of BHSF's largest hospital, Baptist Hospital Miami (BHM). We are currently seeking a GME Program Manager for Graduate Medical Education to join our team of professionals within
Baptist Hospital Miami:
Assists with residency program duties, including creating and maintaining departmental files and the preparation of institutional forms and requests. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the trainees, including but not limited to, disseminating rotation schedules, scheduling conferences and meetings, coordinating submission and response to trainee evaluation (including following-up for completion), preparing for faculty meetings, taking meeting minutes, and other activities as requested. In collaboration with program leadership, helps organize the trainee recruitment and graduation processes, including the processing of applications, assisting with scheduling candidate interviews, securing meeting sites and venues, etc. Assists with the development and creation of trainee and program evaluation reports such as trending evaluation data over time for individual trainees, rotations, and the program. Assists with the maintenance of accurate records of the trainees' prior training, rotations, leave, and vacation. Assists with planning travel for the Program Director and trainees to conferences according to university policies and procedures and liaises with the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) Finance team. Assists in coordination of accreditation site visits, including preparing documents. Assists with the maintenance of databases and marketing materials to accurately reflect current residency program information. Serves as a liaison between the program and the Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) and HWCOM Human Resources department, to facilitate new trainee credentialing and onboarding as well as offboarding procedures. Monitors duty hours, evaluations, outpatient rotations, procedure logs, and scholarly activities for accuracy and completion. Coordinates and oversees social events for trainees. Performs other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of ACGME program requirements and medical terminology preferred.
