Since 1991, the Education Foundation of Martin County has worked to enrich and enhance educational opportunities for students and support for teachers across Martin County public schools. As the strategic nonprofit partner of the Martin County School District, EFMC raises and distributes private and corporate funds to support award-winning programs that go beyond the traditional funding capabilities of the school board. We aim to increase community involvement in public education, foster academic achievement, support effective instruction, and recognize and promote innovation in the classroom. Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management, evaluation, and growth of EFMC programs and services. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and administrative skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and building strong relationships with educators, community partners, and donors. Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate educational programs and services to ensure alignment with EFMC's mission and strategic goals Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and timelines Collaborate with school district staff, school level administrators, staff, teachers, volunteers, and community partners to enhance program impact Monitor and track program budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility Maintain accurate documentation, data collection, and reporting for internal use and external stakeholders Prepare regular reports that highlight program achievements, needs, and measurable outcomes Implement continuous quality improvement strategies to enhance program delivery and outcomes Track performance metrics and evaluate programs against established key performance indicators (KPIs) Ensure compliance with grant requirements, funder guidelines, and contractual obligations Lead development and assessment of new mission-aligned programs, including feasibility, impact, and cost Oversee a countywide volunteer recruitment, training, and retention strategy to support program delivery and operational needs Build and maintain strong relationships with teachers, administrators, donors, and community stakeholders Stay current on nonprofit program management trends, education policy, and best practices Assist with special events Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, nonprofit management, public administration, or a related field Minimum 2-3 years of experience in nonprofit program coordination, education, or project management Proven ability to manage programs, budgets, and reporting systems effectively Strong administrative, time management, and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a small team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and data tracking systems Knowledge of education systems, grant management, or volunteer coordination a plus Benefits:
