POSITION OVERVIEW YWCA
Greater Atlanta is launching the Teacher Opportunity Pathway (TOP) , a new program designed to support early childhood educators on their path toward professional growth. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated TOP Program Coordinator to serve as the connective tissue between the program's vision and the community it serves. As the day-to-day point of contact for participants, the Coordinator will play a crucial role in recruiting and engaging early childhood educators, building trust-based relationships with participants and partners, and ensuring the seamless delivery of an 8-week professional development experiences. The Coordinator will also develop and maintain relationships with Atlanta community partners, schools, faith communities, and educator networks to expand the program's reach and impact. Our first cohort begins Fall 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Partnering with the Program Manager to plan, execute, and manage timelines and key deliverables for TOP cohorts.
  • Recruiting and engaging early childhood educators across Atlanta, with particular focus on Westside community partners, schools, faith communities, and educator networks.
  • Building trust-based relationships with participants, partners, and community stakeholders to ensure no one falls through the cracks.
  • Coordinating program logistics, including orientations, workshops, cohort gatherings, celebrations, communications, YWCA collaborating organizations and the LearnWorlds Learning Management System.
  • Tracking participant progress and key program indicators, organizing data, and contributing to reports, success stories, and impact materials.
  • Capturing and documenting participant stories, achievements, and program milestones for internal and external communications.
  • Representing TOP program at community events, partner meetings, and outreach opportunities as a visible and enthusiastic ambassador for the program and YWCA Greater Atlanta.
  • Collaborating closely with YWCA staff and other program partners to ensure the seamless delivery of services.
  • Upholding YWCA policies and procedures, fostering an environment based on respect, ethical communication, and alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Fulfilling any other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree or equivalent life/work experience is encouraged.
  • Two or more years of program coordination, community engagement, or education experience; experience in early childhood education is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and community-building skills to engage effectively with program participants and partner organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust across diverse backgrounds, with experience working in Westside Atlanta or similar communities preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines without things slipping through the cracks.
  • Comfortable with technology, including email, basic data tracking, and willingness to learn a Learning Management System.
  • Flexibility in working hours, which may include occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate program needs.
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
