The Youth Lived Experience Peer Support (Part-Time) supports the Youth Independent Housing Program by ensuring drop-in resources are organized, accessible, and accurately tracked across program locations. This position is responsible for inventory management at Newman House and the Joe Frank Harris Parkway location, maintaining donation and supply records, supporting basic client navigation when needed during drop-in hours, and completing ongoing file maintenance and program organization tasks. The Specialist contributes to a welcoming, youth-centered environment and performs other duties as assigned by Program Management.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate inventory of supplies, basic needs items, and program materials at both locations. Receive, sort, organize, and store donated items. Create and maintain a donation inventory list. Monitor stock levels and notify Program Management of needs. Support labeling, organization, and distribution processes. Provide client-facing support during drop-in hours, as needed. Assist youth with locating resources and accessing basic needs. Maintain a youth-friendly, trauma-informed environment. Support file maintenance and organization. Assist with logs, inventory reports, and donation records. Follow confidentiality and documentation standards. Participate in staff meetings and trainings. Complete additional tasks as assigned by Program Management.POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a part-time position, scheduled for up to 20 hours per week. Work hours may vary based on program needs, drop-in coverage, donation inventory schedules, and other operational requirements. Occasional flexibility may be needed to support program activities or special events as assigned by Program Management.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
NoneQUALIFICATIONS
Lived experience relevant to youth homelessness/housing instability preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Strong organizational skills. Ability to engage youth respectfully and effectively. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Reliable transportation.COMPETENCIES
