JOB DESCRIPTION
The After-School Program Specialist (Vendor) will implement and deliver high-quality academic and enrichment activities for students participating in the 21st CCLC After School Program, in accordance with the established program plan and grant requirements. The specialist will work collaboratively with the site coordinator and other program staff to provide a safe, engaging, and enriching learning environment for students outside of regular school hours

Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience planning and implementing programs for youth, with a background in education, youth programming, or related fields. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred. Knowledge of youth development and ability to motivate and guide youth through positive relationships. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creativity and flexibility in delivering engaging and impactful programming. Familiarity with data tracking systems and program evaluation tools is beneficial. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Compliance with all background check requirements Any alternatives to the above as the Superintendent and Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Program Development and Implementation:
Design and implement engaging, evidence-based activities aligned with 21st CCLC grant goals, addressing academic subjects like science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Offer a variety of enrichment activities, including arts, music, counseling programs, and service-learning opportunities. Develop and implement curriculum and activities that are age-appropriate and engaging for students. Promote student learning and social development through activities and mentorship opportunities. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized learning environment for all participants. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement safety preparedness drills as needed.
Student Support and Engagement:
Motivate and guide students through positive relationships and demonstrated care and respect. Maintain student records, including attendance and enrollment information. Communicate with families and build strong connections between the program and home environments. Provide homework assistance, tutoring services, and other academic support tailored to student needs.
Collaboration and Communication:
Communicate regularly with the Program Coordinator on all aspects of the program, including challenges and successes. Participate in required meetings, conferences, and trainings related to the 21st CCLC program. Serve as a liaison with community organizations to foster partnerships and enhance program offerings. Work collaboratively with the 21st CCLC Program Coordinator, school administration, and teachers to integrate program activities with the regular school curriculum.
Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain timely and accurate data related to program activities, attendance, and student performance. Submit required reports, including activity summaries and expenditure details, in accordance with grant and district guidelines. Support program evaluation efforts and utilize data to assess program impact and adjust programmatic expectations.
Physical Demands:
Position requires the operation of one or more of the following on a regular basis: telephone or other communication devices; personal computer, audio-visual equipment, copy machine, calculator, other specialized equipment typically used in an office setting. Lifting or moving up to 20 pounds occasionally. Position requires sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting and reaching; normal finger dexterity, visual acuity (with or without corrective lenses), hearing, talking, and grasping are required to perform essential functions.
