Job Description
This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits. Job Description The Program Leader will be responsible for clear and concise communications for the Early Learning program with program participants, community groups, the public, and staff. This role will be working and interacting with children, caregivers, and staff in a professional and positive manner and must be able to c onverse with ease and patience in person, on the phone, and on hand-held radio. Essential Duties Preparing educational materials and supplies for classes, programs, events, etc., including assisting with the preparation and distribution of educational materials for hands-on learning Assisting with registering class participants (virtually or in-person) Answering phone inquiries and providing direct communication with parents Providing educational assistance to front desk customers, parents, etc. Communicating the objectives and activities of the early learning program Ensuring the safety of program participants and facility operations Communicating all issues and concerns with program management Participating in professional growth and professional learning opportunities Working collaboratively with partner organizations such as Gwinnett County Public Schools Performing related duties as assigned Other Job Requirements/Information This job requires fingerprinting: candidates must undergo a comprehensive background check and obtain a satisfactory determination from the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL). This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. Hourly rate $16.80 per hour Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED AND One year of experience in a professional childcare, school, afterschool, or summer camp setting An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered. Valid driver's license CPR/First Aid certification completed within 60 days of hire Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications Associate degree in early childhood education, elementary education, or a related educational field Customer service experience Current CPR/First Aid certification For more information about this department, please click here .
