The Children's Museum Of Pooler is a non-profit, interactive children's museum that strives to provide hands-on learning opportunities and joyful discoveries for children and the community through engaging exhibits and programming.
Duties:
A Play Facilitator is responsible for facilitating play-based learning experiences, providing policy/procedure information to guests, checking in/out visitors at the front desk, efficiently handling gift shop sales, and maintaining a safe and clean museum environment. A Play Facilitator also helps to lead weekly programming and camps under the Director's guidance.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
At least 18 years of age or older. High School diploma required (or GED), bachelor's degree or coursework in Child Development, Early Learning, Education preferred. Experience in guest services, Experience working with children in recreational settings or classrooms desired. Must have a pleasant attitude, willingness to take initiative, and enjoy working with children and families. Must be able to pass a background check. There are part-time/full-time positions, approximately 15-40 hours per week. Pay ranges from $10-12 per hour based upon previous experience. Applicants need to have availability between 8:45 am-6 pm throughout the week (Monday-Saturday). Sunday hour availability between 12:45 pm-6pm. Applicants must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
