The Mentorship Program Coordinator will support the development and implementation of a place-based mentorship program that connects graduates of social work and public health with current students, emerging and expert practitioners. This position centers relationship-building, knowledge exchange, and the strengthening of pathways to health, well-being, and social work and public health practice. Duties and Responsibilities Identify best practices in mentorship programs. Lead the design and development of a mentorship program. Establish and maintain relationships with alumni, social work graduates, and community practitioners to support mentor recruitment and engagement Develop mentorship structure, including orientation materials, communication guidelines, and place based engagement practices. Develop and coordinate mentor-mentee matching processes, ensuring alignment of interests, practice areas, and other considerations Facilitate and support mentorship activities, including virtual and in-person gatherings, talk story sessions, and community-based engagements Collaborate with faculty, community/cultural experts, and community partners to ensure mentorship program alignment with project priorities Support the integration of mentorship into initiatives, including in-person events, community sessions, and service-learning experiences Develop and implement communication strategies to sustain engagement across mentors and mentees (e.g., email, newsletters, social media, and program updates). Develop and maintain website, via google sites. Monitor and document program activities, participation, and outcomes Prepare reports, summaries, and materials in alignment with University of Hawai?i Foundation, Funder, Thompson School and project director/program reporting requirements Provide recommendations for program sustainability, growth, and continuous improvement Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Social Work or Public Health, or related field Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, students, and community partners Demonstrated knowledge of values, cultural practices, and community engagement approaches Experience working with students, alumni, or community-based programs Strong experience with Zoom Strong oral, writing, and interpersonal skills Desirable Qualifications Masters Degree in social work, public health or related field Experience in drafting project reports and grants for local and federal organizations Competency in cross-cultural community work Prior experience with mentorship program development or coordination Familiarity with interdisciplinary educational initiatives Experience work with land-based community organizations Experience facilitating group engagement, workshops, or community gatheringsTo Apply:
