  • Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions.
Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular BOR and Civil Service employees. Casual Hire appointments may last for up to 89 days for full-time employees, and up to 1 calendar year for part­ time employees.

Federal Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The International Programs Assistant Coordinator will work directly with the Director of the University of Hawaii
  • West O'ahu Office of Global Engagement and other UHWO faculty.
Conduct day-to-day operations of the UH West O'ahu Office of Global Engagement. Assists in managing and directing assigned services, programs, and operations related to International Programs and/or International Students. Work with other UHWO Staff on matters regarding International affairs Coordinate Outbound & Inbound International Programs at UH West O'ahu. Functional knowledge of administrative and organizational processes as applied to the management of operations, services, facilities, and programs. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a baccalaureate degree in education, communication, humanities, or a related field. Equivalent of two (2) years or more of progressively responsible professional experience providing educational services for international students. Two (2) or more years of prior experience working/interacting with International students & coordinating international programs. Demonstrated ability in program development, including needs assessment, design, and evaluation. Ability to work outside normally scheduled business hours, including evenings and weekends. Must be able to work in-person at the UH West O'ahu campus.
