$22.00 - $24.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

: Facilitate prevention education curriculum and experiential learning activities for youth in schools, community settings, and outdoor environments. 2. Develop and implement prevention programming and structured group activities that promote youth leadership, healthy decision making, resilience, and substance use prevention. 3. Plan and lead experiential learning activities including outdoor recreation, team-building activities, cultural programming, and overnight camps. 4. Conduct outreach to schools, youth-serving organizations, and community partners to promote prevention programming and recruit youth participants. 5. Coordinate prevention programming with schools and community partners to schedule services and activities. 6. Supervise youth participants during program activities and ensure activities are conducted safely and in accordance with program guidelines. 7. Enter new client enrollments and complete client discharges in the Inspire+ electronic record system. 8. Complete DAP progress notes for each youth participant for each day services are provided in accordance with agency and funding requirements. 9. Maintain accurate attendance records for all prevention activities and ensure attendance logs are completed and uploaded appropriately. 10. Maintain organized and accurate client records and program documentation in Inspire+. 11. Mentor and support high school peer mentors participating in the program by modeling leadership and guiding their involvement with younger participants.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE/REGISTRATION

1. CPR/First Aid Certification required. 2. Lifeguard Certification required. If not currently certified, certification must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. 3. Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) credential required. If not currently certified, CPS certification must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire. 4. Current driver's license, clean driving abstract, current car insurance, and access to a reliable and dependable vehicle.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field such as social services, education, recreation, public health, or youth development and one (1) year of experience working with youth in prevention, recreational, mentoring, or youth development programs. 2. Bachelor's degree may be substituted with a high school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience working with youth in prevention, recreational, mentoring, or youth development programs. 3. Experience facilitating youth groups, experiential learning activities, or prevention programming preferred.
