Position Description:
1. Complete Training and Ongoing Professional Development Participate in required AmeriCorps and site-specific trainings related to youth development, trauma-informed practices, safety, program policies, and curriculum. Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities throughout the service term to strengthen knowledge and skills. 2. Support Member Training and Development Develop and facilitate icebreakers and team-building activities for member trainings. Create training resources that promote member engagement and professional growth. Collaborate with site staff to strengthen member training experiences. 3. Provide Ongoing Member Mentorship Foster supportive mentoring relationships with AmeriCorps members throughout the service term. Conduct regular check-ins focused on goal setting, professional growth, and service experiences. Maintain documentation of member progress and mentorship activities. Collaborate with site staff to support member development and success. 4. Support Themed Activity Development Review and provide constructive feedback on member-created activity plans and program materials. Monitor the development and completion of program activities aligned with weekly themes and program objectives. Promote high-quality, engaging, and developmentally appropriate programming. 5. Support Program Implementation Provide peer support and encouragement to AmeriCorps members during program sessions. Promote positive youth engagement, smooth program transitions, and effective activity facilitation. Model trauma-informed communication and positive leadership practices throughout program activities. 6. Support Program Evaluation and Reporting Coordinate the collection of participant evaluations and program feedback. Review evaluation materials for completeness and accuracy. Compile program data and contribute to reports that summarize participant outcomes and program impact. 7. Develop and Facilitate Member Trainings Design and co-facilitate professional development sessions for AmeriCorps members. Create interactive training materials focused on youth development, leadership, wellness, communication, service-learning, and group facilitation. Incorporate presentations, discussions, and hands-on learning activities into member trainings. Develop icebreakers and engagement strategies that encourage participation and collaboration. 8. Document Program Activities Capture photographs and visual content that highlight member service, youth engagement, and program activities. Collect participant and member reflections that demonstrate program impact. Organize digital media and program documentation for future outreach and program development. 9. Support End-of-Program Reflection and Sustainability Facilitate reflection activities that encourage members and participants to recognize growth and celebrate accomplishments. Organize program materials and resources for future use. Develop recommendations that support continuous program
