Each intern is assigned to a specific division or department related to their area of study. A supervisor will provide guidance and ensure that the intern's time is focused on substantive work and activities. Interns will have opportunities to meet with executives in our organization and network with interns from other local organizations. In addition, each student is given objectives and goals to obtain during the program. Activities Interns spend some of their time on other activities designed to promote teamwork and enhance professional development, including: Interviews with Bankers Trust leadership, including the CEO, President and board members Lunch and learns DSM Intern Connection (Sponsored by the Greater Des Moines Partnership) Team project Bank sponsored events During the internship, interns will select either a group or individual community service project to participate in during the summer. The purpose of this experience is for the intern to gain an appreciation for the community and to understand the value of volunteerism.
