FLY Ambassador - Learning Commons Bowling Green State University, United States about 4 hours ago
Location:
Campus, ILLINOIS Summary The FLY Program is seeking students who want to make a difference by mentoring and supporting fellow FLY students, collaborating with the FLY team, sharing their experiences, and promoting the program's mission and values. In this role, ambassadors play an important role in helping build a supportive and welcoming community within the FLY Program and across the BGSU campus. FLY Ambassadors are expected to participate in activities and events throughout the year, including new student orientation, social events, and recruitment activities, while also attending bi-weekly meetings focused on collaboration, planning, leadership development, and professional growth.
Career Readiness Competencies:
Participate in campus training or workshops to build skills. Actively listen and respond respectfully in meetings and conversations. Show respect for coworkers, supervisors, and students with different backgrounds. Recognize team needs and step up when leadership is required. Support others by offering assistance when your workload allows. Essential Functions Represent the FLY Program as an advocate for the program's mission and purpose to support student success Participate in social activities and events Participate in recruitment events Attend ambassador meetings with staff Assist FLY Program staff as needed Minimum Qualifications Must be a current or previous FLY Program student. Minimum GPA of 2.50 Demonstrated history of regularly attending FLY Program appointments. Comfortability acknowledging having a documented learning difference.
