Illinois Department of Children and Family Services contracts with the Department of Psychology employs 97 staff across the state of Illinois and is committed to enhancing outcomes for the children and families served. Position Summary Under the leadership of the Deputy of the Office of Research and Child Well-Being, the Intensive Placement Stabilization ( IPS ) Continuous Quality Improvement ( CQI ) Coordinator reports to the IPS Manager. The CQI Coordinator leads the design and management of CQI systems that monitor program and organizational fidelity, effectiveness, and equity. This role ensures that IPS interventions continuously improve by integrating data, feedback, and lived experience into decision-making and system adaptation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities CQI System Oversight Develop and manage systems for ongoing assessment of IPS practices and outcomes Monitor fidelity to trauma-informed, ARC informed, systems of care, values, and healing-centered practices Recommend program adjustments based on findings Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting Collect, validate, and analyze data on placement and lateral stability and well-being outcomes Develop reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders Ensure transparency and accessibility of CQI data Partnership Engagement in CQI Facilitate individuals with lived experience (youth and caregiver) and staff input into CQI processes Partner with DCFS regions, CWCA provers, community agencies to co-interpret findings Capacity Building Train staff on CQI principles, data interpretation, and feedback integration Support reflective practice and organizational learning Other Duties as Assigned Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope and responsibilities of the position to support the vision, and mission of the DCFS Child Well-Being contract with NIU Complete additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned to meet the priorities of the DCFS Child Well-Being Contract with NIU Contribute as directed by DCFS and NIU to cross functional and other initiatives as required Minimum Required Qualifications (Civil Service) Bachelor's degree. Three (3) years of experience in child welfare or related fields, including experience providing program evaluation, quality improvement, or data-driven program management.
