Job Description

Specific schedule will be determined based on center's needs and student's availability. Candidates must have availability to work during Hawks Care Resource Center's operational hours of Monday
  • Thursday 8:00a.m.
  • 7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.
  • 4:30 p.
m. Maximum hours per week is 15.
Education Requirements:
In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student, enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three for summer).
Experience Requirements:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Teams required. Experience in customer service is a plus but not required.
Duties of Position:
The Hawks Care Resource Center Student Aide will collaborate with a diverse group of staff and faculty who represent multiple areas of Harper College in one center. This aide will be welcoming, empathetic, and understand the value of student privacy. Specifically, the Student Aide will: Welcome and assist students with guideline orientation for center resources (including pantry, Help Yourself Shelf, Career Closet) and scheduling appointments with center staff and Counseling Services. Assist in operations, maintenance, and reporting for pantry, Help Yourself Shelf, Career Closet, and the laptop loan program. This will include physical labor and the ability to push loaded carts, stock shelves, and organize clothing. Schedule, promote, and deliver educational tabling events, which requires comfort with talking one-on-one and in group settings. Help develop strategies for increasing awareness and participation from different campus populations at Hawks Care events and programs. Partner and collaborate with various Harper departments and offices as well as community organizations. Assist with other duties as assigned.
