Inspire. Build Community. The Rock Island YMCA is seeking a dynamic and community-minded Branch Executive to lead our Rock Island branch and drive its continued growth and impact. Located in a unique shared-use facility alongside the Rock Island Public Library, the Rock Island YMCA is an important part of the local community. As Branch Executive, you'll be responsible for leading branch operations while creating an exceptional member experience and ensuring high-quality programs across youth development, sports, aquatics, wellness, and childcare. You'll build and strengthen community partnerships, engage and empower the branch advisory board, develop and support staff, and lead localized fundraising efforts that help expand the YMCA's impact. What You'll Do Provide leadership and direction for the overall operations of the Rock Island YMCA. Lead and develop staff across multiple program areas and levels of responsibility. Recruit, engage, and develop volunteers and strengthen relationships with the branch advisory board. Develop, manage, and monitor the branch budget and financial performance. Oversee facility scheduling, risk management, and operational effectiveness. Support the development and delivery of high-quality programs across youth, sports, aquatics, wellness, and childcare. Champion an exceptional membership experience and identify opportunities to strengthen member engagement and retention. Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, local organizations, and other stakeholders. Lead localized fundraising and resource-development efforts to support the YMCA's mission and branch priorities. Support marketing, public relations, and community awareness efforts. Analyze program and financial data to evaluate performance, identify challenges, and make informed decisions. Respond professionally and effectively to questions, concerns, and complaints from members, non-members, community partners, and business leaders. Represent the YMCA in the community and at public meetings, presentations, and board functions. Promote the YMCA's mission and values through all aspects of branch leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements The ideal candidate will have: Three years of program and/or membership experience , including direct supervision of staff at multiple levels. Demonstrated ability to oversee total operations, including staff and volunteer development, budgeting, marketing and public relations, and program development. Previous experience managing a budget of $250,000 or more preferred. Strong financial skills, including the ability to develop and monitor budgets and analyze financial statements and reports. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present information to senior leadership, public groups, and boards of directors. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, gather and evaluate information, establish facts, and reach sound conclusions. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with people from diverse social and economic backgrounds. Ability to respond professionally and thoughtfully to member, community, and business inquiries and concerns. Oral and written multilingual abilities preferred. A strong understanding of and commitment to the YMCA's mission, values, and community-focused approach.
