This position supports the work of the Duneland Family YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Ninja Zone Instructor supports the mission of the Duneland Family YMCA by fostering a safe, engaging, and transforming environment for children and families ages 0-12. This role combines gymnastics and martial arts with engaging instruction to teach core skills such as balance, coordination, and listening. 1. Lead structured and unstructured Ninja Zone sessions ranging from Baby Ninjas (Ages 18 Months - 3 Years), Lil Ninjas (Ages 3-5 Years), and NinjaZone (Ages 5+). 2. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and families; maintain high levels of supervision. 3. Demonstrate an understanding an interest in promoting the health, and fitness of youth. 4. Communicate effectively with children and families regarding daily activities. 5. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program space; set up and take down equipment as needed for children and families. 6. Follow all YMCA policies, including emergency procedures, child abuse prevention, and abuse risk management. 7. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and participate in program planning to support children and families. 8. Accept additional assignments as appropriate within the scope of the position to enhance programming for children and families.LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES

The equivalent of 2 years' high school education is required. Previous early learning and family program experience preferred. Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate activities preferred.REQUIRED TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS
