About The Alcohol & Tobacco Commission:
 The general purposes of the Alcohol & Tobacco Commission's work, as defined by law, are:

To protect the economic welfare, health, peace and morals of the people of this state To regulate and limit the manufacture, sale, possession, and use of alcohol and alcoholic beveragesTo provide for the raising of revenue 
Role Overview:
 You will be responsible for processing and disposing of all temporary and event permits, coordinating related enforcement efforts with district excise departments, intaking and referring permit complaints, and providing expert input to ATC leadership concerning requirements and procedures underlying all said functions. You will be responsible for exercising discretion within the context of governing law and varying fact patterns to determine the appropriate disposition of temporary and event permits. You will be expected to coordinate the participation of relevant stakeholders in determining the eligibility of permit applicants and in ensuring appropriate resources are dedicated to enforcement related to approved permits. You will help develop permitting procedures and resolve novel and recurrent issues encountered by the administrative staff in processing permit applications. The objective for this work is to contribute to the construction of a consistent compliance program optimized for ATC's operating environment. Beyond administering the temporary and event permit program, you will be responsible for maintaining the agency's appointment scheduler and internal comment box.
Salary Statement:
 The salary for this position traditionally starts at $34,216 but may be commensurate with education or work experience. A Day in the

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

Compile information relative to the assigned program area.

Coordinate correspondence for information requests.

Organize and maintain current and historical files related to the program.

Organize program reports, applications, and maintain consultative services.

Maintain and organize program assets.

Prepare all program related training materials.

Success:
Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:

General knowledge of the program area.

Basic knowledge of the rules and regulations pertaining to the assigned program area and its affects upon other agency operations.

Ability to gather and compile program materials.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process.

Tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
