Executive Director Position Summary PACE, Inc. is seeking a passionate, purpose-driven, and highly organized Program Manager to lead its Pre-release Services program. This individual will be responsible for overseeing program operations, managing staff, and ensuring effective program execution for the Breaking the Chains initiative, as well as the post-release GPS Workshop. The program focuses on supporting high-risk individuals incarcerated within the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC), with the goal of reducing recidivism and promoting successful reentry. Services emphasize pre-release planning, behavioral health connections, employment pathways, and trauma-informed support. In addition, the Program Manager will oversee the GPS Workshop, a 3-week post-release support program designed to address barriers to reentry, build financial readiness, support employment placement, and reduce recidivism through structured, skills-based programming. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, and committed to advocating for individuals impacted by the criminal justice system. Program Overview This initiative serves at least 100 incarcerated men annually with a priority focus on Black men identified as moderate- to high-risk using the Indiana Risk Assessment System (IRAS). Through strategic partnership with IDOC, par6cipants receive individualized, evidence-based interventions designed to address criminogenic needs and improve post-release outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Oversight Provide overall management and oversight of pre-release programming. Supervise and support the pre-release team, including training and development. Coordinate with IDOC staff to ensure smooth cohort implementation across facilities. Collaborate with the Executive Director and external partners. Program Implementation Lead planning and execution of cohort workshops and programming agendas. Facilitate Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) groups within IDOC facili6es and in the community as needed. Ensure par6cipants are appropriately assigned to MRT groups and services. Oversee planning, coordina6on, and delivery of the GPS Workshop (3-week post-release program). Facilitate or supervise workshops focused on reentry barriers, financial literacy, and employment readiness. Ensure continuity of care from pre-release services to post-release engagement. Track participant progress and outcomes related to employment, stability, and recidivism reduction. Coordinate with community partners to support job placement and ongoing stabilization. Client Services & Support Deliver pre-release services, including reentry planning and resource navigation. Connect clients to behavioral health, employment, and community resources. Address immediate needs such as housing, food, transportation, and clothing. Provide coaching, mentoring, and support using client-centered and trauma-informed approaches. Data & Reporting Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the ETO case management system. Monitor program metrics including referrals, enrollment, and demographics. Prepare monthly reports and narratives on program outcomes and barriers. Develop client success stories and maintain ongoing follow-up (minimum every 30 days). Compliance & Best Practices Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards, including HIPAA compliance. Prioritize client safety using evidence-based practices. Ensure all interventions are properly documented.
Position Requirements:
Personal and/or professional experience with the criminal justice system. Understanding of the needs of justice-involved individuals. Experience with data collection, reporting, and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of community resources and recovery support systems. Ability to address reentry barriers through coaching and advocacy. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Willingness to travel to IDOC facilities statewide. Other duties as assigned.
