Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant Job Description Overview Position Overview:
IU Health Arnett is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant to join our team. This pivotal role ensures the facility's ongoing compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, supporting excellence in patient care and operational integrity. The successful candidate will facilitate readiness activities, provide expert consultation to leadership and staff, and serve as a key liaison with regulatory agencies, including the Indiana Department of Health and accrediting organizations. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate accreditation and regulatory compliance activities within IU Health Arnett, ensuring preparedness for surveys and inspections. Provide education, consultation, and advisement to key stakeholders and leadership regarding accreditation and regulatory standards. Plan, organize, and execute survey preparation activities, including staff training, documentation review, and onsite survey management. Manage comprehensive post-survey follow-up, including drafting detailed written responses, developing corrective action plans, and verifying the implementation of improvement strategies. Proactively review new or revised services, programs, and physical spaces to confirm ongoing regulatory compliance. Participate in performance improvement activities to achieve or regain compliance as needed. Offer regular updates to leadership on compliance status, readiness level, and improvement initiatives. Serve as the facility's liaison for communication with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies, ensuring clear and timely information exchange. Support interfacility readiness efforts by sharing best practices and providing consultation across IU Health locations. Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with current standards.

Friday, Day Shift Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree is required. Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience. CPHQ or other comparable healthcare regulatory certification endorsed by IU Health System Regulatory Affairs required within two years of employment. Interfacility travel for surveying and in-state overnight stays is required. Requires current state of Indiana license as a health care professional (e.g., Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license, Respiratory Therapist, Pharmacy or Rehabilitation license).
