POSITION OVERVIEW
The Community Memberships Manager is responsible for piloting, launching, and overseeing a new external membership model aligned with the organization's five-year strategic vision. This role will own all aspects of the external membership experience for individuals in the surrounding community, including program design, member recruitment and retention, partnership development, and operational execution. The role serves as the primary steward of the membership model, ensuring a high-quality, sustainable, and engaging offering that connects community members to campus programs, events, and services. Works with Home Office and campus team to design and pilot a new community membership model, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and organizational values. Owns the end-to-end external membership lifecycle, including invitation strategy, onboarding, engagement, renewal, and offboarding. Manages membership capacity by actively recruiting new members and identifying replacements for individuals who withdraw or do not renew. Develops and executes outreach strategies to attract external community members to participate in the membership program. Builds and maintains strong partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and stakeholders to promote and enhance membership offerings. Collaborates with internal campus teams to identify, plan, and schedule events, programs, and experiences available to external members. Creates and manages the annual calendar of membership events, programs, and activities, ensuring consistency and quality. Serves as the primary point of contact for external members, addressing questions, concerns, and feedback related to the membership experience. Establishes processes and guidelines for the invitation-based membership model, including eligibility, participation expectations, and code of conduct. Tracks membership participation, utilization, and engagement to assess program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Monitors membership revenue and participation trends to support sustainability and future scaling of the model. Coordinates logistics related to events and programs, including scheduling, space usage, and coordination with facilitators or partners. Develops communication materials and messaging that clearly articulate the value and benefits of the external membership model. Identifies risks, challenges, and gaps in the membership experience and proactively recommend solutions. Provides regular updates and insights to leadership on program performance, lessons learned from the pilot, and recommendations for future expansion. Other duties as assigned.
