Job Description

Job Summary- Part Time Program Facilitator If you are looking for a fun way to supplement your income, retirement, or looking for a way to get paid PLUS give back to your community while working just 2-5 hours per week, then join our vibrant after school program team! In this part-time role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children and youth during after school hours. You need to be available during the hours of 2:30pm and 5:30pm. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young people through our high quality, award-winning program. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development. Our Valparaiso program is offered to children ages 7-12
Duties:
Lead and supervise children of various ages during after school hours, ensuring safety and well-being at all times. Facilitate a variety of engaging theatre activities (provided) Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to promote respect and cooperation Implement age-appropriate curriculum (provided) Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and incident reports to ensure smooth program operations Be a facilitator of FUN!
Experience:
Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, babysitting, or youth programs is highly preferred Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies a plus Theatre experience a plus but not required Certifications in first aid and CPR are a plus Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or counseling can enhance your ability to connect with children creatively and compassionately Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities A background in childcare, teaching, or working with students will help you succeed in creating a positive program environment Join us as to empower children through engaging activities that foster growth and self-confidence! Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
