Established in 1999, JustPower serves as the authority in Power Electronics and Aerospace talent, connecting elite technical professionals with mission-critical opportunities at leading organizations worldwide. This engagement represents a key program management hire at a high-impact engineering site in Kansas. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of new product projects from concept through first shipment of production parts. The role collaborates directly with customers and internal teams, including NPI, Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to ensure program deliverables are met on schedule and within scope. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of project management methodologies, and the communication presence to manage customer relationships and cross-functional teams effectively. Experience in aerospace, defense, or power electronics product development is highly valued. Key Responsibilities
  • Define project scope and schedule in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage risk by identifying and assessing hazards and proactively implementing mitigation controls.
  • Create and execute detailed project plans that identify dependencies, constraints, critical paths, and required resources.
  • Develop and execute schedules to achieve project milestones on time and within scope.
  • Establish stakeholder communication plans and provide timely updates on project status.
  • Maintain documentation and forms required to track project activities and ensure information is recorded accurately.
  • Interface with customers professionally to clarify needs, resolve issues, and meet expectations.
  • Escalate issues and risks to appropriate leadership as needed.
  • Review project quality and ensure standards and requirements are met.
  • Evaluate outcomes against planned objectives and lead lessons-learned activities for future improvement.
  • Control scope, cost, and schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Use standard program management tools to track overall performance.
  • Demonstrate safe behavior at all times and ensure others in the working area are safe and not exposed to significant risk.
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned. Core Competencies
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies; PMP certification a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple, simultaneous projects and priorities.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and an interest in supporting business development initiatives.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail; ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Commitment to hands-on collaboration in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Cost account management experience.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation (ADA). Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business (or related field) required.
  • Three to five years of relevant program or project management experience preferred.
  • Experience in new product development environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with military and aerospace specifications a plus.
  • Experience with magnetics and power supply products preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee). This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or power electronics product development.
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, or AS9100 quality management frameworks.
Travel Requirements This position requires approximately 10-20% domestic travel to support customer program reviews, site visits, and cross-functional meetings. Occasional international travel may be required based on program demands, subject to ITAR compliance protocols.
Pay:
$135,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
