This position is an Individual Contributor who performs complex to highly complex non-routine duties. Responsibilities that coordinates work of a specific program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities of a larger program or ministry are carried out to achieve specified objectives. Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing programs, directs and coordinates program activities. Confers and/or collaborates both internally and externally on projects or to educate/communicate programmatic information. Prepares and/or reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress and makes modifications or changes in methodology as required to attain objectives. Uses discretion and independent judgment in completing activities. Operates under general supervision. The Associate for International Project Development focuses on the design, development, coordination, and oversight of international humanitarian projects. This role works closely with global partners to shape high-quality proposals, support disaster response and recovery initiatives, and ensure projects align with PDA's mission, values, and strategic priorities. This position emphasizes program cycle management, partner accompaniment, and cross-organizational coordination, particularly in emergency response and long-term recovery contexts.Roles and Responsibilities:
International Project Development Provide leadership and coordination for the development, implementation, and monitoring of international humanitarian and recovery projects in collaboration with global partners and aligned with PC(USA) strategy and priorities. Support effective project planning, partner engagement, emergency response coordination, and reporting processes to strengthen program impact and accountability. Partnerships & Coordination Strengthen and maintain collaborative relationships with international partners, ecumenical organizations, ACT Alliance members, and PL&W colleagues to support coordinated humanitarian response and long-term recovery efforts. Represent PDA in regional and international forums and serve as the primary liaison for accompaniment and coordination efforts in Latin America and the Caribbean.Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; master's degree preferred 4-7 years of increasingly responsible related programmatic experience Related programmatic experience Experience with faith-based humanitarian response and familiarity with the context of one of four global regions (Africa, Asia, Latin America/Caribbean, Middle East and Europe)Required Skills:
Proficiency using the Microsoft Suite (including Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel) and other appropriate software.Helpful Skills:
Understanding and knowledge of PC(USA) and its organizational structure. The ability to speak one or more languages other than English is very helpful.Required Competencies:
