The Old Colony YMCA's Barnstable Community Justice Support Center (CJSC) is a community based program working with adults (male and female) involved with the justice system while experiencing addiction. We currently have a need for a Program Monitor whose role is to provide and maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and participants at the Center. The Program Monitor will ensure that participants enter and exit the building in an appropriate manner and remain in assigned areas. The Program Monitor will also be involved in the collection of urine screens from participants. Other typical job functions will include: Greet participants as they enter the Center and ensure belongings are secured Supervise and monitor participants in all phases of daily routine Take accurate attendance of all participants Maintain accurate communication log entries Collect and document urine screens Write incident reports as needed and communicate any concerns to Treatment Manager and / or Program Director Provide participant transportation in Center vehicle when required Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and trainings Maintain work schedule as directed Work effectively within a team

Education/Experience/Physical Requirements:

High School Diploma and experience or Associates Degree (preferred) Experience working in security/criminal justice/customer service Be able to work some early evenings and cover additional shifts as needed Must have a valid Drivers License Have visual and auditory acuity in order to maintain security of the Center.

One location There are 18 Community Justice Support Centers (CJSC) across the state with 10 managed by the Old Colony YMCA. Participants attend CJSC to participate in programs designed to improve their lives and avoid further criminal justice involvement. Each CJSC offers about 15 different programs, including cognitive behavioral treatment for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and to improve decision making, employment counseling, and Adult Basic Education, GED/HiSET, and post-secondary preparation.
