Social Emotional Learning/SEL Lead (4) to support Community Schools' Summer Programming

  • SEL Lead Baker
  • Extended Day Each SEL Lead will facilitate enrichment block activities that build and strengthen students' social-emotional skills.
SEL Leads will coordinate weekly themes from the Character Strong curriculum and support the integration of the five CASEL competencies into daily academic instruction and recreational activities throughout the program. There will be a required paid training session up to 3 hours prior to the start of summer programming.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be familiar with the CASEL 5 competencies 2. Must be familiar with Character Strong Curriculum 3. Must commit to work the entire program, or job share. 3. Attend required training. 4. Ability to assist in program as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Select and implement SEL lessons. 2. Identify and promote weekly SEL theme in all daily activities. 3. Effectively communicate and coordinate with Director of SEL, program supervisors, faculty, and parents. 4. Monitor student participation and skill development. 5. Collect student and program SEL data. 6. Report to the Program Site Supervisors.
COMPENSATION
Contractual Hourly Rate 4 hours per day. All 4 SEL Lead positions are contingent upon program enrollment.
SCHEDULE
Begin July 6th and end July 31st. Extended Day (July 6th
  • August 19th).
