There are 18 CJSCs across the state with 10 managed by the Old Colony YMCA. Clients attend CJSC to participate in programs designed to improve their lives and avoid further criminal justice involvement. Each CJSC offers about 15 different programs, including cognitive behavioral treatment for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and to improve decision making, employment counseling, and Adult Basic Education, GED/HiSET, and post-secondary preparation. The Treatment Manager (Director) is responsible for the day to day operation of the Brockton Community Justice Support Center (CJSC), a community based facility serving justice involved adults (male and female) with a history of addiction. The Treatment Manager will supervise and serve as the leader of a small staff team responsible for implementing programs at the Center in accordance with statutes and existing policies and procedures of the Office of Community Corrections (OCC).
Job Functions:
Works with OCC in supervising the daily operations of the Center Implements programs and services within the Center in accordance with statutes and existing policy and procedure Supervises on site staff (a team of 11 full time staff) Coordination and cooperation with other on site service providers which may include probation officers, parole officers, program monitors and OCC Provides direct clinical services to Center participants when necessary Facilitates clinical workshops/groups Performs center intakes, assessments and orientations Prepares required reports and statistics Participates in ongoing working group meetings Assists with the evaluation, modifications and expansion of services and programs of the Center Assists with the development of new approaches to meet the changing needs of the Center Provides administrative support and coordination of sanctions, services and activities of the Center Coordinates activities of the Center with various courts, collaborating criminal justice agencies and private community agencies to enhance service delivery to clients Collaborates with OCC management for the maintenance or further development of a center handbook, client manual and operations manual Provides required reports and communicates with the Program and Regional Program Managers Works within the approved contract budget and is responsible to document all expenditures Performs community relations activities, participating in conferences, panels and other approved community planning activities. Attend required training sessions and maintain certifications Collection and documentation of urine screens as needed. Works in concert with Organizational Director to ensure contract compliance. Recruits, trains, supervises and evaluates staff at the Center Budget development and management Adheres to all fiscal policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in related field Licensed clinician highly preferred Minimum of four years supervised substance abuse counseling Excellent oral and written presentation skills Supervisory experience required Proficiency in data base management The Old Colony YMCA has been listening and responding to our communities' most critical social needs since 1887.
