Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and community-driven Part-Time Program Coordinator to support and lead youth programming at the Methuen Youth & Community Center (MYCC). This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with diverse groups—especially youth—and eager to make a meaningful impact through educational, creative, and community-based programs. As a key member of a growing organization, you will help coordinate engaging activities, manage program logistics, and build strong relationships with youth, families, and community partners. Your energy, creativity, and organizational skills will help deliver programs that promote learning, leadership, and connection. About MYCC The Methuen Youth & Community Center (MYCC) is focused on empowering youth and strengthening community. We provide inclusive programming in areas such as arts, music, STEM, and leadership development, creating opportunities for young people to thrive. Typical Schedule Monday-Friday, approximately 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM (program hours) Includes planning and preparation time earlier in the day as needed Occasional evening hours (up to 8:30/9:00 PM) for events or special programming Key Responsibilities Program Coordination & Implementation Plan, organize, and support educational and recreational programs for youth Coordinate program schedules, materials, and daily logistics to ensure smooth operations Assist in developing engaging programming in areas such as arts, music, STEM, and leadership Youth Engagement & Experience Build strong, positive relationships with youth participants Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment Encourage youth voice, participation, and leadership Collaboration & Community Engagement Work closely with the Executive Director to support program vision and execution Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to enhance programming Support outreach efforts and community engagement initiatives Operations & Organization Track attendance and maintain organized program records Assist with program setup, materials management, and coordination Prepare basic reports on participation, feedback, and program outcomes Additional Support Assist with light fundraising efforts, including supporting grant-related tasks when needed Support basic social media efforts to promote programs and events Technology & Tools Use Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) for scheduling and communication Utilize basic tools for attendance tracking and program organization Support light use of social media to highlight programs and engagement
Note:
This role does not require advanced technical or marketing expertise.
Qualifications Required:
Experience working with youth (school, nonprofit, or community-based setting) Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
