Immediately Job Description Sea Lab Summer Program Coordinator
Position:
  • Sea Lab Summer Program Coordinator Objective
  • NBPS is seeking an organized and supportive Summer Program Coordinator to oversee the Summer Sea Lab program.
The coordinator will work closely with the district to recruit students and staff and finalize summer programming that best exemplifies the foundation of marine and aquatic science that Sea Lab was built on.
Responsibilities:
  • Must be flexible in the afternoons, outside of the contractual day, until the end of school in order to do the preparation work necessary prior to program start.
  • Must be able to work the full summer program July 6 - July 31 including set up and break down.
  • Assist in preparing applications, recruiting students, establishing enrollment and class lists.
  • Assist in posting and hiring for staff.
  • Monitor program, budget, and student engagement, offering guidance and resources to teachers for effective instruction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for teachers, helping resolve any challenges and ensuring program alignment with school goals.
  • Communicate with families as needed, updating them on student progress and program objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Experience overseeing out of school time programming
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to support and mentor teachers effectively.
  • Knowledge of Sea Lab and Science standards preferred

Hourly Rate:
In accordance with the Unit B contract
