JOB TITLE
Recovery Specialist
DESCRIPTION
To provide support to patients receiving services for withdrawal management and crisis stabilization, ensuring the highest level of respect, customer service and recovery-based behaviors.
REPORTS TO
Recovery Specialist Supervisor
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment at all times with an emphasis on high quality services and customer satisfaction through hospitality and a thorough understanding of the withdrawal management, clinical stabilization processes..
  • Facilitate the movement of patients around the building and grounds in a safe and orderly fashion.
  • Provide transportation for patients and in support of program operations using the program vehicle when needed.
  • Conduct alcohol and drug screens on patients using an approach that demonstrates respect and dignity for the patients.
  • Assist with admission and discharge procedures as required.
  • Oversee the patients' participation in daily programming and activities of daily living.
  • Conduct searches of the building and patient belongings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Minimum of high school diploma or Associates Degree preferred.
  • Experience in addictions or mental health fields preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills.
  • Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
  • Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with patients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.
  • Must have basic ability in use of computers to be able make entries and utilize electronic health records.

$19.00 - $26.00 per hour
