Department of Defense secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Once hired, it is expected that Applicants will apply for a Top Secret security clearance, if they dont already have one. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Program Manager managing the development and sustainment programs for SERF Tester Refresh in addition to Sustainment & Integration responsibilities for SERF and theSSBN/SSGN

Develops a cohesive project plan, authorizes the work, and manages cost, schedule and technical performance of projects (products or services) Organizes interdepartmental activities to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget Leads department or cross-functional project teams in matrix organization to achieve schedule, cost, and technical performance objectives Identifies issues, tracks progress, and follows through on corrective actions Creates product configurations and data sheets Supports customers on technical questions regarding project/products Leads team in forecasting project cost and schedule completion as required based on performance trends Prepares and presents project status to leadership Leads team to identify and quantify risks and opportunities; leads risk mitigation / opportunity capture activities Develops and executes proposal plans and strategies for assigned projects Develops negotiation plans Leads customer negotiations for projectsKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Technical understanding of product(s) Very solid knowledge of work estimating, allocation, scheduling, and authorization Very solid ability to generate cohesive project plans Very solid ability to track work accomplished to baseline plans to ensure rate of work completion is sufficient to meet schedules Very solid ability to identify issues, track progress, and follow through on effective corrective actions based on data analysis and trends Very solid ability to understand and analyze project financial data Very solid understanding of the fundamentals of risk and opportunity management and ability to apply them to projects General Dynamics Proprietary Information Very solid ability to lead teams in matrix organization to achieve schedule, cost, and technical performance objectives Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal Ability to make sound, proactive decisions Ability to develop and execute proposal plans and strategies Negotiation skills Very solid knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint May be required to travel Salary Note This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. Combined Salary Range USD $156,444.00 - USD $169,277.00 /Yr.
