Job Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Workforce Development department is seeking a qualified individual for the Program Coordinator position that is responsible for the operational success and the quality of the programs offered under Workforce Development and some college credit programs too. The role requires a strong foundation of program implementation, and federal reporting compliance. This position bridges the WD program team and the academic team by ensuring that: programs meet performance metrics (KPIs), funding requirements, and compliance standards. Furthermore, this position is responsible for preparing students for employment. This position will work closely with students to provide resume writing, practice interview skills and find a job or internship within their academic areas. The Program Coordinator works with the students to make sure that they meet the employer's expectations.
Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with the appropriate college offices to make sure that the course of enrollment is at full capacity. Work with the marketing, admission and registrar's team to enroll students in the program. Facilitate placement tests and new student's orientation sessions. Implement standardized program evaluation metrics across the program. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of program outcomes, performance indicators, and compliance audits. Work with the business office on programming expenses and ensure that the program adheres to financial guidelines and grant requirements. Facilitate student surveys and prepare reports. Work with the WD department to include college and career readiness activities, including setting up different events. Utilize technology to enter students' information into the grant reporting system. Work to ensure that the students receive career and internship services, as well as participate in different college events. Career Development Services Work closely with all the students enrolled in the grant-funded programs, by assisting them with resume writing, practicing interview skills, and finding a job and or internship placements. In coordination with the Career Development and Internship Director (CDID), the Program Coordinator supports students through selection processes at worksites to make sure that they are meeting employer expectations and engaging in productive work-based learning experiences. Build and expand employer partnerships. Develop internship placements and place QC students into internships. Provide career counseling to students one on one or in groups. Prepare and implement career development workshops based on industry sector needs. Develop and implement career development plans. Assist students in understanding their strengths, weaknesses, and interests towards employment outcomes. Conduct research on career options and the job market. Maintain students' records and provide progress reports. Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students and college staff. Follow policies and procedures outlined by the VP of the Workforce, Economic, and Institutional Development. Director of Career Development and Internships Requirements:
Experience overseeing training programs, preferable for up to 3 years. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent computer skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in using technology in the classroom. Ability to adapt teaching styles and materials to meet individual needs of students.

Participate in mandatory training/coursework; including but not limited to: Title IX and Sexual Misconduct Sexual Harassment and Non-Discrimination Security Policy and Notification of Security Reporting FERPA Municipal Ethics Law Assignment Travel to both Quincy and Plymouth Campus as well as other local travel may be required.
