Full-Time | Executive Leadership About Us Ironwood Living LLC is a Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) provider currently in the process of obtaining licensure for Group Homes, Day Programs, and Supported Living Services (SLS). We are committed to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in achieving independence, dignity, and meaningful community inclusion. We are preparing to launch Supported Living Services across Maryland, and we are seeking a visionary Executive Director who also serves as our Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) to lead our agency with compliance, quality, and innovation. Position Summary The Executive Director / QDDP is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and compliance of our Supported Living program. This individual will oversee service delivery, ensure adherence to Maryland COMAR and DDA regulations, and provide professional oversight of staff supporting individuals in their own homes. As the designated QDDP , the Executive Director will be the primary professional responsible for ensuring that all services are person-centered, high-quality, and aligned with individual service plans (ISPs). Key Responsibilities Provide executive leadership for the Supported Living agency, including organizational strategy, compliance, and fiscal accountability. Serve as the Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional (QDDP) per COMAR 10.09.26, ensuring professional oversight of planning and coordination of services. Develop, implement, and monitor the Program Service Plan (PSP) , Business Plan , and Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) as required by the Maryland DDA. Ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements, including COMAR Title 10, DDA Provider Standards, and HCBS Settings Rule. Supervise and mentor program managers, direct support staff, and administrative personnel. Monitor Individual Service Plans (ISPs), ensuring services are delivered with fidelity, dignity, and respect for individual rights. Coordinate training programs for staff in line with COMAR 10.22.02.11 and the DDA Training Matrix (CPR/First Aid, HIPAA, PORII, rights, infection control, etc.). Maintain agency accreditation standards and readiness for DDA site reviews, audits, and compliance checks. Foster collaborative relationships with families, guardians, DDA representatives, and community stakeholders. Report directly to the Board of Directors, keeping them informed of agency performance, compliance, and strategic growth opportunities. Minimum Qualifications (QDDP Requirements)Education:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Nursing, or a related field . OR Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician .Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Group Homes, Day Programs, & SLS. Prior leadership or administrative experience in a DDA-funded or similar human services program strongly preferred. Experience with person-centered planning, ISP development, and Medicaid-funded HCBS waiver services required.Knowledge/Skills:
In-depth knowledge of Maryland DDA regulations, COMAR Title 10, and HCBS waiver standards . Strong leadership, organizational management, and strategic planning skills. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to person-centered, rights-based services and inclusive practices. Preferred Qualifications Prior success in managing start-up or growth phases of a DDA service agency. Knowledge of budgeting, Medicaid billing, and LTSSMaryland systems. Experience working in or managing Group Homes, Day Programs (also known as Community-Based Day Habilitation in Maryland), and/or Supported Living Services (SLS) is strongly preferred.
