Job Description

Program Management Office Lead OverviewThe PMO Lead provides leadership, structure, and execution oversight for Program Management Office functions supporting IT governance, portfolio management, and project delivery. This role aligns PMO operations to organizational priorities and establishes scalable, repeatable processes to support IT initiatives and modernization efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of PMO processes and the operating model.
  • Manage program scheduling and delivery coordination across initiatives.
  • Oversee IT governance activities, including review boards, decision frameworks, and policy alignment.
  • Direct portfolio management activities, including demand intake, prioritization, and performance tracking.
  • Establish and oversee risk, issue, and dependency management frameworks across programs.
  • Provide leadership reporting, dashboards, and decision-support analytics.
  • Facilitate coordination across stakeholders, project teams, and leadership.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements aligned with industry best practices.
  • Ensure consistent documentation of PMO standards, procedures, and deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT program management or PMO leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing or maturing a PMO function.
  • Deep expertise in governance, portfolio management, and program oversight.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting federal or public sector environments preferred.
  • PMP required or strongly preferred; PgMP, PfMP, ITIL, or SAFe certifications are a plus.
Salary:
$160,000.00 - $165,000.00 Additional benefits include:
