Child BHP Program Coordinator 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars Lewiston, ME 04241 $30 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Counseling and Trauma Therapy Associates 26 reviews $30 an hour - Part-time, Full-time About the Role You will make a positive difference overseeing an amazing staff full of passionate people (BHP's) helping children reach their full potential. As the Section 28 Program Coordinator you will support the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services for children, who primarily have an Autism diagnosis, in their home and/or in the community. This role assists with program operations, staff oversight, documentation and service coordination to ensure services remain client-centered, compliant, and effective. We have four wonderful Program Coordinators right now throughout Southern Maine and looking forward to you joining our Team. Work-life balance matters here, without compromising quality of care. The Program Coordinator works collaboratively with leadership, Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs), families, and interdisciplinary providers to support treatment implementation and maintain excellence in service delivery. This position reports directly to the Section 28 Program Director Primary ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination & Staff Support Provide supervision and support to assigned Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs) Monitor service delivery and support staff in implementing goals outlined in treatment and service plans Complete supervision documentation accurately and within required timelines Track staff and client documentation deadlines and maintain compliance Engage with parents during parent training sessions Assist with onboarding and orientation of newly hired BHP staff Support scheduling and matching of BHPs with incoming referrals Serve as a first-line resource and point of contact for assigned staff Open client cases, as necessary Documentation & Treatment Support Complete Comprehensive Assessments in accordance with program timelines Develop and maintain Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) Complete Continued Stay Reviews (CSRs) with sufficient detail to support ongoing medical necessity Direct, coordinate, and evaluate client progress toward treatment goals Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency and MaineCare requirements Collaboration & Compliance Collaborate with leadership and administrative staff to ensure compliance Build supportive and professional relationships with clients and caregivers Coordinate and communicate with schools, providers, and community supports as appropriate Advocate for client needs and support continuity of care Ensure adherence to agency, state, and federal standards Qualifications Must meet one of the following qualification pathways: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field and have at least two (2) years of related experience . Hold a Master's degree in Human Services or a related field and have at least one (1) year of related experience . Hold a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credential and have at least one (1) year of related experience . Hold a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credential and a related Master's degree . Additional Requirements Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Successful completion of background checks Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Experience with behavioral health, trauma-informed care, family systems, or developmental services preferred Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Enjoys supporting staff and helping teams succeed Has experience working with children with behavioral health needs Is organized and comfortable balancing clinical and administrative work Values ethical, client-centered care Communicates effectively with families and interdisciplinary teams Is committed to improving outcomes for children and families We look forward to meeting you!
