Summary:
The Credentialing Verification Specialist II is responsible for independently coordinating and performing advanced provider credentialing and primary source verification activities in accordance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and Medical Staff governance expectations. This role supports the timely and accurate processing of provider applications, reappointments, and ongoing monitoring activities through detailed review, verification, follow-up, and issue resolution. The Credentialing Verification Specialist II serves as a subject matter resource for complex credentialing workflows, assists with process improvement initiatives, and collaborates closely with Medical Staff Services, Provider Enrollment, leadership, and external entities to support efficient, compliant, and high-quality credentialing operations. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certifications:
Current certification as a Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) or Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) from the National Association of Medical Staff Services preferred.
Experience:
