Leadership Workshop Facilitator (Georgetown OR UMich Campus) Ann Arbor, MI 48109 From $150 a day - Temporary, Part-time, Contract From $150 a day - Temporary, Part-time, Contract •Hiring for two locations: Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) and University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI). Please specify your preferred location and workshop expertise in your application.• The Opportunity Are you a dynamic leader who knows how to command a room? Summer Springboard is seeking Workshop Facilitators to lead high-impact, interactive sessions for motivated high school students at the Georgetown University or University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). We are hiring for 4 distinct workshops (4 separate roles):
Leadership:
Introducing foundational leadership through participation-based exercises. Students engage in live simulations to practice real-time decision-making under pressure. Speaking w/
Confidence:
A practice-based workshop focusing on regulated nerves and intentional delivery. Students spend the majority of the session speaking, building toward a final structured talk. Mastering Money (UMich ONLY): Facilitating practical financial literacy with a heavy focus on budgeting strategies and real-world independence. Prepping for
College & Career:
Guiding students through personal branding, the reality of admissions, finding direction, building a narrative, and "opportunity engineering." This is not a traditional teaching gig. We don't do "sage on a stage" lectures. Instead, you will guide students through a fast-paced, 90-minute experience where they do the thinking, discussing, and deciding. The Curriculum (Zero Lesson Planning) We respect your time. The curriculum, slide decks, and simulation materials are 100% prepared and provided. You won't spend a single minute lesson planning. Your role is to bring the content to life through expert facilitation and real-time coaching.
Workshop Highlights Foundational Skills:
Moving students from "theoretical" leadership to practical application.
Active Participation:
Facilitators teach by "cueing and questioning" rather than explaining.
Live Simulations:
Lead students through pressure-filled scenarios where they must make real-time leadership decisions.
Values Discovery:
Help students identify their core values and a concrete leadership behavior to practice beyond the program.
Who You Are The Facilitator:
You have a background in corporate training, executive coaching, higher education, or professional development.
The Energy:
You know how to keep 15-18 year olds engaged for 90 minutes through high-energy interaction.
The Guide:
You are comfortable "leading from the back"—allowing students to struggle with decisions before guiding them to the "aha" moment.
The Professional:
You are reliable and excited to represent Summer Springboard on a prestigious college campus.
Schedule & Requirements Availability:
Must be available on-site at Georgetown University from 4:00PM - 5:30PM for the specific dates: June 23, 25, 29, and 30 OR University of Michigan from 3:30PM - 5:30PM for the specific dates: July 21, 23, 27, and 28.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in facilitation, public speaking, or student mentorship preferred.
Clearance:
Must be able to pass a standard background check for working with minors.
Pay:
